Anti wrinkle cosmetic products
Most of the anti-wrinkle cosmetic products you can find over the market are highly probable to contain a combination of these anti-aging ingredients. Anti-wrinkle crèmes can be a good investment in your beauty as good products are often expensive. It might be wise to consult a dermatologist to determine your skin type so that you make the proper choice of anti-aging products. Also, keep in mind to inform the specialist of any substances you are allergic to. Always avoid crèmes and products containing alcohol, fragrances, petrolatum and other harsh chemicals as they can prove to be more harmful in the long run, although providing some short-term effects in the war against wrinkles.
Another effective weapon in the anti-aging war is the Coenzyme Q10, also referred to as Q10. This is also one of the best wrinkle reducers. Q10 is an antioxidant found in our body cells which helps for the proper energy regulation. In the process of aging the body loses Q10 thus leading to different types of skin damage. As the body ages it loses CoQ10 and this can also lead to other forms of skin damage. Q10 has no side effects and research shows that it protects the skin by acting as a UV-filter.
There are other natural wrinkle reducers such as soy isoflavones. These are derived from soy and act as antioxidant compatible to Vitamin E. The protein extracts of soybeans or soybean milk contain phyto-estrogenes called isoflavones. They have similar effects as the female hormones and to reduce wrinkles making the skin look smooth and gentle. Animal tests show that isoflavones also protect the skin against the harmful UV-light and stimulate the production of hyaluron acid.
Other popular anti-wrinkle ingredients are Alpha-Hydroxy Acids (AHAs). Alpha-Hydroxy Acids, Beta-Hydroxy Acids and Poly-Hydroxy Acids are synthetic derivatives of acids, extracted from fruits. That is why they are wide known as fruit acids. They act as natural exfoliants – substances stimulating the growth of naturally pigmented skin by removind dead skin cells from the surface, thus improving skin appearance. Research shows that hydroxy acids stimulate the formation of collagen – a protein preventing the dehydration of the skin. The use of products containing these acids can considerably contribute to the healthy look of your skin. However, some of the unpleasant side effects are a sense of burning and itching. Hydroxy acids will make your skin more sensitive to sunlight, which is why you should use protective creams.
